We had a late start today and got underway at 10:35. We did however, get a chance to do a load of laundry first thing in the morning. The facilities at the Lighthouse Pointe Marina were quite nice. We had to wait for the US Customs to finish searching a boat that was towed to the fuel dock by Tow Boat US last night.
We finally got fuelled and had our second 3M day (Mansions, Millionaires and Mega Yachts) of sight seeing.
Again, lots of bridges. Twenty bridges today, seven which required opening for us but thankfully our longest wait was about ten minutes. The quote of the day was from the radio transmission from the female bridge tender who, when we were racing to make the bridge said, "Get it up here Captain".
Again, a lot of mega-yachts and some live-aboard slums.
We passed by Jupiter Florida and it's lighthouse.
We saw some large ships unloading at Palm Beach.
We anchored just off of the ICW in front of some pretty nice homes after travelling 47.7 nm.
The critter sightings of the day were a jumping 3 ft ray and three giant iguanas on the bridge batter boards.
We had dinner at sunset and watched the Stanley Cup on the satellite TV.
Cumulative totals:
Travel distance = 397.3 nautical miles
