The first official day of hurricane season. So far so good but we did have a nasty thunderstorm this afternoon with 50 kt wind gusts.

  

Fortunately we were still tied to the dock at Snead Island awaiting the controls technician who finally arrived around 5 pm.

He was able to diagnose the problem and was very lucky to be able to locate a replacement cable. The part is out of production and there are very few spares left in the USA. It will be a fairly quick job to install first thing tomorrow morning. He is also looking into the problem we have with the bow thruster cutting out. Hopefully both of these items will be resolved tomorrow and we can get underway.

The BBQ got another work out for supper around sunset. The chef managed to get about 40 bites on his legs from some sort of insects.
