We had a quiet night watching the hockey game and got the anchor up at 06:35 and had showers and breakfast underway.
We passed by St Lucie Inlet at around 08:30.
This is where our originally planned route across the Okeechobee Waterway would have joined the Atlantic ICW. We figure we only lost about two days going via the keys but still have good propellers on the boat and got to see some amazing scenery on our trip through the keys and Miami / Ft. Lauderdale.
This was the start of the Indian River portion of the ICW which we will follow for most of the remainder of the time we are in Florida. There was some rain that passed south of us but we had mainly sunny and partly cloudy skies for most of the day.
In the morning we had a sighting of a pink flamingo and a water snake of some sort.
We got to Fort Pierce at 10:45. Here there is another inlet from the Atlantic Ocean to the ICW.
We got to Vero Beach around noon and Joan piloted under the bridge.
There are many places that have speed and wake limits because of manatees.
We finally saw one feeding near a shoal but could only get a picture of his/her tail.
We passed Sebastian at 14:00. This section of the river is fairly wide and the channel is narrow but there is not much to see on the shore because it is far away. As we approached Palm Bay, we had some entertainment from three dolphins who caught a ride in our wake for about a mile.

We arrived at Telemar Bay Marina at 16:30 and fueled up and we were allowed to stay for the night on the main gas dock.
One of Brian & Joan's friends came to visit and we went out for supper at a nice Italian Restaurant in Eau Gallie. We also did a quick shop at WalMart and Publix for provisions.
Today we travelled 75.9 miles.
Our cumulative totals are:
Travel Time = 66 h 29 m
Distance - 473.2 nm
Fuel = 472.8 US gal
