We spent memorial day at Snead Island Marina. We had our first night’s sleep on the boat and found there will be no problem waking up in the morning when the sun rises. We have a large circular hatch right above our heads.
Brian and I ran some last minute errands (another trip to West marine) before he had to return the rental vehicle to the airport. We continued to get things stored away and the boat cleaned up. We also spent some time getting familiar with some of the systems on board. Brian arrived back at the boat around 5:30 pm in a Lincoln.
Today we had time to cook a nice supper. We has teriyaki beef kebabs on the BBQ.
After dinner, one of our neighbours came over and gave us some tips on good anchorages and docks on our route home.
The weather continued to be hot and sunny with highs around 90F and lows in the low 70’s. It’s nice to be connected to shore power and be able to run the A/C because the heat is oppressive.
